1927 - January 9th to March 26th

It’s 1927, Fanny Rosina is 51, and is living at the family farm at " Charltonville” Woods Road, Wards Belt, South Australia (Lot 871 Woods Road, Wards Belt), with her brother Bert (41), nephew Clem Parham (23), and niece Amy Marion Dawe (14). This is from a booklet with no cover.  Major events: Clem leaves the home (January 29), and gets married. Bert buys a Motor Car. Fanny Rosina Atyeo (1875-1966) was a dutiful daughter, hard-working sister, and beloved Aunt to many. She kept a daily diary from (at least) 1907 until her death. Her niece, Olive Fanny Heath Sims (nee Hobart), kept those diaries in a box, and now Olive's eldest son, his wife, and their daughter are gradually putting them online. They provide a fascinating snapshot of life at Gawler River, South Australia, and surrounds from 1907 until 1952. To find the information you need, there are three indices: 1. Year of writing, 2. 2 June 1910 - 31 May 1911 - both Charlie and Celia get married

Fanny R Atyeo,  Charlton Ville, Gawler P. O.  June 1st 1910 In 1910, Fanny Rosina is 35, living with her parents Henry Atyeo (aged 62) & Mary Ann (Ma, aged 58), in Charlton Ville, Wards Belt, South Australia. Her parents have been married for 36 years, both living in Gawler River at the time of their marriage. This is Lot 871 Woods Road, Wards Belt. Also at home are Charles William Henry (Charlie, aged 28), Albert Joseph (Bert, aged 25), Amy Florence (aged 23) & Wilfred George (Wilfie, aged 17). From time to time Celia (30) also lives there, between periods in service. According to Google Maps, the house was at the back of the property, far from Woods Road, there is a number 879 on the gate. Fanny’s other sisters Ada (34) & Frances (32) have married & left home. Frances lives with her family in Moonta. Ada with her family in the Gawler area.
